Product fundamentals

Mobile SDK: The Mobile SDK is a ready-to-use set of components to integrate your mobile application with the Infobip platform. It enables you to send messages through your mobile application to end users.

Flow in Moments: Use Flow in Moments to create end-to-end journeys for end users. You can send messages to end users through the flow.

Messaging channels: Send messages to end users at different stages of their journey. Example: If your mobile application is for selling products, you can send end users reminders about the items in their shopping cart, send order and shipping information, and send invoices.

You can send messages through the following channels:

  • Mobile push: These are pop-up messages that are sent from your mobile application. They are displayed on the lock screen or notification area of the end user's mobile device.

Push notifications enable you to reach mobile app users even when your mobile application is not being used.

  • In-app messages: These are messages that are displayed in the mobile application when the end user has the application open.

Push ecosystem: Refer to the Mobile audience profiling documentation.

Start sending messages

Use the Infobip Demo app to test messaging

Use the Infobip demo application to test sending messages through a ready-made mobile application without the need for development effort.

To send messages to end users, you must have your own mobile application and use Mobile SDK.

Send messages to end users

Use Mobile SDK to integrate your mobile application with the Infobip platform.

Do the following:

  1. Create a mobile application profile to collect data about mobile users. You can use this data to contact the end users through push notifications and in-app messages.

  2. Set up Mobile SDK to integrate your mobile application with the Infobip platform.

  3. Create a flow in Moments to design the end user's journey. Use events to trigger sending messages.

When the flow is triggered, the messages are sent to the end users.

Alternatively, you can use API to send push notifications.

  4. View analytics for your messages.

    • Use the Mobile apps dashboard to track how users of your mobile application respond to your messages.
    • Get reports for your messaging campaigns.

Additional functionality to use with your mobile application

  • Track mobile users lifecycle: Track the phases of a mobile user's lifecycle, starting from the installation of your application on their device to the deletion of the application.
  • Personalize the installation: If your application has signup or login functionality, the installation can be personalized.
  • View profile and installation information: View the end user's profile information and application installation information in People.
  • Use the inbox: Save push notifications in the inbox of the mobile application. This is helpful in cases where there is poor push performance or users do not read the push notifications.
