# What is WhatsApp Payments
___

**WhatsApp Payments for Business** is a feature, currently available only in **India** and **Brazil**, that enables a seamless in-app checkout experience, allowing customers to complete purchases directly within a WhatsApp conversation.
___

## Payment message types

A payment interaction consists of two message types:
- **Order details message**: Sent by the business to initiate a payment. This interactive message acts as an invoice and includes the necessary payment action.
- **Order status message**: Sent by the business after the payment is confirmed or failed, to inform the customer of the outcome.

The order details message includes four components:
- **Header**
- **Body**
- **Footer**
- **Action**: This component contains all required payment data.

When a user completes a payment, status updates are delivered using webhook notifications. Once payment is confirmed, businesses can send an order message to acknowledge the successful transaction.
