# API service status  

Infobip API exposes an endpoint for checking the service status. You can access it by making a GET request to `api.infobip.com/status`. More precisely:

The expected response has the HTTP status code `200` (OK). The response body typically contains the string `OK`. The format of the response depends on your request.

This endpoint will give you an overall API status. Some individual endpoints can still have their own error handling or availability requirements, so it is advisable to always consult the dedicated documentation page for an endpoint that returns an HTTP error status.
