# Create a chatbot  

## Prerequisites  

- Infobip [account](https://www.infobip.com/docs/answers#sign-up)
- Answers solution [enabled](https://www.infobip.com/docs/answers#sign-up)
- A supported channel enabled. To enable a channel, view the instructions in the documentation for that [channel](https://www.infobip.com/docs/answers#available-channels).
- [User role](https://www.infobip.com/docs/administration#user-roles) of either Answers Designer or Answers Manager

## Create a Chatbot  

You can create a chatbot in one of the following ways:

- Create from a [template](https://www.infobip.com/docs/answers/create-chatbot/create-from-template): Use predesigned chatbots, which contain example content and configuration, as a base to design your chatbot. Using a template saves time.
- [Start from scratch](https://www.infobip.com/docs/answers/create-chatbot/create-chatbot-from-scratch): Use the chatbot editor to build a chatbot from scratch.
- [Duplicate](https://www.infobip.com/docs/answers/create-chatbot/duplicate-chatbot) an existing chatbot: If you need to create a chatbot that is similar in structure to an existing chatbot, you can duplicate the existing chatbot to create a new one. You can then modify the new chatbot to meet your requirements.
- [Export](https://www.infobip.com/docs/answers/create-chatbot/export-import) an existing chatbot and import it as a new chatbot.
